History of Egypt – 5 Days Guided Tour to Cairo, Giza and Luxor By Flight

After Breakfast, Start your day with your friendly guide to the Giza Plateau. When you reach the Giza Plateau, your Egyptology guide will introduce you to the famous Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Marvel at the Great Sphinx statue and visit the Valley Temple, part of the same ancient complex. Learn about the burial rites of the pharaohs.

The next stop on the tour is the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, at the fascinating Saqqara archaeological site. Built around 2630 BC, this special pyramid is the world's oldest major stone structure. You’ll continue to Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt. Having reigned as a cultural center for over 3,000 years, Memphis boasts stunning ancient sites.

Later you will be transferred to your hotel.

Overnight in Giza Hotel (Private room with Breakfast) Pyramids View Room if available. 

After breakfast, You'll be picked up from your hotel by your friendly guide to enjoy a spiritual day tour of the Islamic and Coptic sites in Cairo. First, see Salah El Din Citadel where Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, also Al Gowhara Palace built by Mamluks and Ottomans.

Proceed to old Cairo where you will discover the Roman fortress, the Hanging church, also called Al Mo’allaka church, then to St. Sergius, which sheltered the holy family. End your tour by visiting the Famous Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra.

Continue your day tour to downtown Cairo to visit the famous Egyptian Museum featuring artifacts from the Pharaonic and Roman periods. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. You will have to visit Tutankhamun's tombs as well. Later you will be transferred to your hotel.

Overnight in Giza Hotel (Private room with Breakfast) Pyramids View Room if available. 

In the morning you will be transferred to Cairo airport to take your domestic flight (1 hour) to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met at Luxor airport and start your tour to visit.

West Bank Part:

Start the day with a visit to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings which holds 66 tombs of various dynasties, Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and learn about the only female ruler of Ancient Egypt. On the return journey, stop at the Colossi of Memnon - 2 gigantic sitting statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile.

East Bank Part:

Proceed with your tour to the east bank and visit the Temple of Karnak: This complex was originally dedicated to the god Amon Ra, his wife Mut, and son Khanoum. What makes the Karnak Temple complex special is that it includes several of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian design and architecture, such as the Hypostyle Hall, one of the world’s great architectural achievements of all time, and the Temple of Amon, a spectacular forest of giant papyrus-shaped columns.

End your tour by visiting Luxor Temple: At the end of the day, you’ll visit Luxor Temple. Later you will get a transfer to Cairo Airport, and once you make it to Cairo you will be transferred to your hotel.

Overnight in Giza Hotel (Private room with Breakfast) Pyramids View Room if available. 

After Breakfast, Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Cairo airport for your departure flight. Transfer can be to any other point in Cairo or Giza (We are flexible to change this transfer to be time according to your travel plans).
